Save the Date: Hoedown – Friday, October 10 ‘08

Pardners, join us on Friday, October 10th, 2008 (note the date change) from 6:30-10pm at the Portland Art Museum’s Kridel Ballroom for our biggest fundraiser of the year!  Last year’s Hoedown & Auction grossed $137,277 for the good work of Sisters.

The amazing Abigail Washburn and the Sparrow Quartet featuring Béla Fleck with Casey Driessen and Ben Sollee (pictured at left) will perform at Hoedown. This American acoustic group has Abigail Washburn on banjo and vocals; Béla Fleck on banjo; Casey Driessen on violin; and Ben Sollee on cello. The wonderful Casey Neill and the Norway Rats will be performing at the beginning of the evening.

Schedule:

6:30-7:30 Enjoy appetizers and hosted wine and beer while the Casey Neill Trio entertains
7:30-8:45 Enjoy desserts, drinks and coffee during the Live Auction
8:45-10 Music with Sparrow Quartet

Get yer Tickets

Tickets are $85 for individuals, tables of ten are $850; and a limited number of patron tables are available for $1,300. Children under age 3 are free; children 4-12 are $25. Tickets are still available at the door.  We’ll have many delicious hors d’oeuvres, dessert, and hosted beer and wine.

The Kridel Ballroom is located at the Portland Art Museum at 1119 SW Park Avenue, on the third floor; it is wheelchair accessible.

Sparrow Quartet Concert

The portion of the evening when the Sparrow Quartet will perform is available for a separate entry fee of $20. Tickets are still available at the door; the concert begins at 8:45pm. It is an all-ages show.
